The film was conceived five years ago, when the nation was stable and more integrated. Today as we prepare to showcase the film, the country is divided and minorities feel extremely vulnerable. Fear is often from the unknown. The film offers deep insight into the lives of one such group. The struggles and achievements of the early generation is inspiring and informative. Through heartwarming personal stories, it portrays a rich tapestry of a very diverse Asian Indian community living and working together and contributing immensely to North Carolina and the nation as a whole.
